Why Do You Write?

Sam Lessin is the founder and CEO of Drop.io, a fantastic product.  He’s also the founder of new company, letter.ly.  Letter.ly bills itself as the simple way to sell email subscription newsletters.  For $2/month (that seems like the standard price), people can build a business around their written thoughts.  Yes, the newsletter may be coming back around for another turn.

People have written for money for as long as there’s been a distribution method.  Lessin has obviously put some thought into why the model could work for him personally.  His reasons seem clear and fairly sound.  I hope he enjoys the readership he seems to desire writing in the format he seems to prefer.

But this tweet is just childish.
