$16 billion vs. $16 million
The real problem isn’t a matter of “M” or a “B”. It’s the fact that one trade, one glitch, or even one insignificant trader, can wreak havoc with a single misinformed click.
Agreed, but I’m suspicious that this is really what happened. I’ve never interacted with a computer that would let me crash it without five levels of warning. B instead of M seems like a serious oversimplification.
