NYTimes.com now slides a recommended article link across the screen when you reach the end of the article.  The slide is unobtrusive and relevant, and so far it’s succeeded in getting me to click through to another article about half the time. I may not always find the NYTimes balanced (though what is?), but their web presence is far and away the best designed and executed of all the major newsmedia outlets.  From infographics to video to tweaks like this, I’m consistently impressed.
